Dave Carlson is a 21-year-old entrepreneur, real estate investor, software developer and straight-shooting nice guy interested in the free exchange of ideas and conscientious capitalism. In 2005, he became co-founder and VP Marketing & Project Management of Carlson Real Estate Investments in San Diego, CA, and is also a partner in two startup companies:

  • SmartInvestorPro, a comprehensive software suite for real estate investors. SmartInvestorPro allows investors to manage their business, store contacts and property data, analyze leads and calculate profit for several different deal types, create a website, and access over 100 specialized contracts and worksheets.
  • ACREIcertification, coming Fall 2007, is the first comprehensive training and certification program for real estate investors. The course contains 14 “modules” on a variety of subjects such as business organization, negotiations, analyzing terms deals, analyzing flip/rehab deals, closings, contracts, and many more. ACREI certified investors signify a new breed of real estate investor – knowledgeable, effective, conscientious, ethical, and well-equipped for success in the 21st century.
